TEGAN MILLER is a Kentucky girl who recently found her way to Savannah, Georgia by way of New York City. Tegan is a multi-genre soprano who has been fortunate enough to sing all over the world, from Carnegie Hall to the Vatican. As a musical theater performer, she has toured the country and performed in several off-broadway, regional, and workshop productions. Her favorite roles include Rona (The 25th Annual...) and Lucy (Jekyll & Hyde).
Shortly after moving to Savannah, Tegan headlined two sold out shows at the Jazz Corner in Hilton Head Island alongside her talented husband, Assaf. You can also catch two of her live streamed cabaret shows, American Pie; An Eclectic Taste of American Music, and Songs Reimagined at the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra’s streaming series, Soundwaves. Most recently, Tegan created her own swing band, Tegan and the Turnarounds and they are set to perform another eclectic cabaret show at the Tybee Post Theatre. In 2020, Tegan was a semi-finalist and winner of the People’s Choice Award at the American Traditions Vocal Competition.
Tegan is also the Founder and Artistic Director of MTC Vocal Academy, Savannah’s premier boutique voice studio which helps popular music singers take their voice and storytelling to the next level. She is also a highly sought-after guest conductor and has worked with choirs of all ages and levels, but her most memorable choral directing experience to date involved being one of 25 conductors of over 1000 voices in 'The Public Domain' project at The Lincoln Center in 2016.
Tegan holds a degree in Music Education from the University of Kentucky and has studied Conducting and Ear Training at Juilliard School of Music and the European American Musical Alliance in Paris. She is currently finishing her Masters in Choral Conducting at Simpson College in Iowa.

Show Choir! - The Musical is a melodious mockumentary about America's favorite teen pastime...with jazz hands. This original musical comedy by Mark McDaniels and Donald Garverick has been developing in New York City since 2006, including an award winning production at the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival and a sold out run at the 2010 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Show Choir! also received acclaimed productions at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The American Conservatory Theatre - San Francisco in 2012. Show Choir! will make its Canadian premiere in May 2016 at the Winnipeg Studio Theatre.
Learn MoreTegan began her conducting career as a middle school choir teacher in Lexington, Kentucky where she grew the choir program from 30 to 200 singers in 3 years. She has worked with the New York Chamber Youth Choir as well as sang with their adult ensemble. She was also the Assistant Conductor and professional singer with the innovative chorus, Choral Chameleon. Tegan also conducted the level 5 choir at the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and since moving to Savannah, she has been a guest conductor with the Savannah Children’s Choir. Tegan was also the conductor of the Arts for Immigrants ensemble, working with immigrant voices from all over the world. Her most unusual, but memorable choral directing experience to date involved being one of 25 conductors of over 1000 voices in 'The Public Domain' project at The Lincoln Center in 2016. Tegan's passion project is starting her own feminist treble choir in Savannah, GA in the fall of 2022.
As a Music Director, she most recently directed the off-Broadway hit 'The Office - the Musical Parody," which has since been the first musical to re-open in NYC after the shutdown. Other favorite MD credits include 'Friends - the Musical Parody' (National Tour), '90210 the Musical' (off-broadway), 'If/Then' (High School Premier).
As a performer, Tegan has had the opportunity to perform with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, the Musical Theatre Factory and Playwrights Horizons. She appears in the cast recording of Show Choir! The Musical with Tony Nominee Christiane Noll. She has toured the country with ArtsPower Theatre, and is the chorus president of Choral Chameleon, a New York choir that was chosen as the 2017-2018 Group in Residence at National Sawdust in Brooklyn.
